The BPU announces its 20th annual "Cents for St. Susan's" fund drive to help St. Susan Center, our 35 year old local soup kitchen on Water Street in Jamestown.
Major sponsors and volunteers gathered this spring to kick off the campaign which includes 50+ coin canisters located throughout the Greater Jamestown Community. Donors this year include: KeyBank at $2,000; Kwik Fill at $1,000; and $500 donors. The latter donors are Alfie's Restaurant, Boyles Motor Sales, Century 21/Turner Brokers, Chautauqua Chemicals, Inc., Falconer Printing & Design, Inc., FreedMaxick Accountants, Heritage Ministries, The Legend Group with Lou Deppas, National Fuel, Northwest Bank, Shults Auto Group, Slone-Melhuish Insurance, Weinberg Financial Group and Wright, Wright and Hampton Attorneys. The Post-Journal and Media Group Stations are media sponsors.
How to give besides coins in canisters?
Bring pop cans/bottles to BPU Customer Service, Don't Car Wash or Southside Redemption Center for St. Susan Center.
Send a check to the BPU in care of Cents for St. Susan's.
Buy a hot dog from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 3, in front of our Customer Service Office.
Donate at a Walmart "tag day" on Saturday, June 29.
For every dollar donated, St. Susan Center can buy $6 worth of food to feed local hungry people.
