Business Development

We celebrated MANUFACTURING MONTH in October with a special event at Chautauqua Lake School. Representatives from the Manufacturers Association of the Southern Tier (MAST), higher education, and local government watched as students involved in classes in the Stuart Manufacturing Lab demonstrated their ability to operate equipment and showed off some of their projects. The Lab is an important part of this region's efforts to train potential employees in advanced manufacturing. Check out the lab here.

As part of our effort to support workforce development in our region, we recently paid a visit to the Springville P-TECH Academy. Assistant Labor Relations Administrator Shannon Pattyson and Business Development Coordinator Ellen Ditonto spoke with Principal Heather Banks and Counselor Betty Sue Darling about the Computer Information Systems and Electrical Construction & Maintenance Programs, and met faculty and students engaged in hands-on learning about residential and industrial electrical wiring and circuits as well as integrated building systems.
