If you have a sewer back-up, crews will flush the line and advise you if you need a plumber or if it is a problem that the BPU must fix. Home and building owners are responsible for sewer lines inside your house or building, as well as in your yard, up to the point where the line attaches to the main trunk line in the street. Sewer employees will respond promptly to assist you.
