Recycling Enhancement Task Force


The overall objective of the BPU Solid Waste Division is to provide low-cost, reliable solid waste service to the area, while promoting recycling efforts to maintain a healthy, aesthetically pleasing community environment.

As part of the objective, the BPU has formed its Recycling Enhancement Task Force, made up of Jamestown residents who volunteer to encourage recycling in the BPU's Solid Waste District. The group meets twice a year.

Members include:

  • Chuck Brininger, Citizen representative and retired Jamestown Community College Chamistry Professor
  • Lori Cobb, Lincoln School teacher
  • Todd Cordosi, BPU Sanitation employee
  • Mr. William Gillies, Jones-Carroll, Inc. representative
  • Carla Howie, Citizen representative
  • Greg Moran, Jamestown City Housing Inspector
  • Wendy Sanfillipo, Recycling Coordinator for Cornell Cooperative Extension and representing Chautauqua County
  • Richard Steinman, Energy Manager, Jamestown Public Schools
  • Rod Storer, BPU Sanitation employee
  • Roseann Himes, BPU Sanitation Supervisor
  • Rebecca Robins, BPU Communications Coordinator
